2 Bloggers Who Disappeared

hello my Faithful Detectives! Yep, you read that title right, we’re going to be looking at some AG bloggers who Disappeared without a trac. I know some of you have been blogging WAY longer than me and may be able to shine some light on it.

Let’s face it THERE ARE BEARLY ANY AG BLOGS ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ve found at least one hundred ag blogs that have been deserted by there owners and left to rot on the streets of WordPress ( I’m kidding about the streets) Now let’s get into some of them,

HAPPY HOUSE OF AG

Now this one stumped me, like if I was a blogger who had 422 followers I wouldn’t just leave?! I snooped around on the blog and found the last time she had said anything was March 3 , 2020 at 5:52 pm . So I HAD to find out what was going on first I checked her bio, Here’s a copy and paste of it

Hey, I’m Loren, the teen who runs this blog. 🙂

I’ve loved American Girl dolls since my elementary school days. I bought my first one in 2012, and two years later, my mom suggested that I start a blog. On March 27th, 2014, Happy House of AG was created.

I’ve been blogging for years. My doll collection has continued to grow. Hundreds of amazing doll-lovers and fellow American Girl bloggers have followed Happy House of AG. Their encouragement and friendship have kept this blog on its feet. I am so thankful for all the wonderful people I’ve met through the AG community.

Doesn’t give any CLEAR idea why she left so after looking a bit I found she had a personal blog so I jumped onto there to look at it, I found that she had still posted on there but stopped 05/01/2020 but her last post on happy house of ag was 14th of February 2019 so had she said anything about leaving?

.

Nope

I’m sorry I just had too add it lol.

So Now here are my theories why she left

  1. On her personal blog she talked that she had been/was sick with something so I’m guessing she got too sick and had to leave.
  2. Just plain grew out of it.
  3. Was going to post but never found the time
  4. was taken to Hogwarts and met Lord Voldemort and it didn’t go well

all-American Girl

All American Girl was a really sweet blog in it’s day. but well looking at it you could clearly see her start to fade away from blogging, like not answering comments only posting a few times in a long period of time and then just completely vanishing but where did she go is what I’m going to find out

So when looking at the home page you can tell there’s not been anyone there for a long time like there still is Happy 2019 up, but first we go check the last time she posted JANUARY 1, 2019 and then the last time she commented on her blog which was ……. NOVEMBER 18, 2018 AT 7:11 PM so the last time she said anything was 2019… but now we go check her bio to see if she has a personal blog, she does but it was literally about her extra fingers ( Like no offence but why would I want to read about her extra fingers?) So after that I went around and looked some more but I couldn’t find anything so here are my theories

  1. Well looking at her most recent posts I’m guessing she got bored of blogging
  2. Got too Busy and forgot
  3. Lost the password to the site
  4. Some how went into J.R.R Tolkien’s world and went to Mordor

So yeah those are my thoughts but what do you guys think? Like it sure is kinda weird they just disappeared. Let’s hope I don’t but if I do I want everyone to comment “I Told You So” Okay?

  1. WHY DON’T PEOPLE JUST TELL US THAT YOUR DONE WITH BLOGGING INSTEAD OF DROPPING OF THE FACE OF THE PLANET?!? Yeah, like how Dara Ann from smalldollsinabigworld came back then left again!

  2. Yeah, it really is sad. What makes me MOST sad is when Doll Diaries not only just left, but deleted everything on their site and their blog was the MOST followed and most famous blog during 2013-2016. I used to post almost every day on my blog because blogs were such a big thing and I even had a good following of readers. Now, because I still love dolls and blogging I make a point to always post at least once a month cause I will not be that blogger who drops off the face of the earth!

    • I’ve only started Blogging last year so I’m not sure who Doll Diaries are but I’ve read enough of blogs to know they where a legend.

Yes! I’m glad you haven’t leave the AG blogging community!

  3. This is a really cool idea for a post, Viola! I’d love to see more like this if you made it into a series.

I never came across Maelyn’s blog, but I do remember Loren. She and I started blogging around the same time and we interacted a few times. If I had to guess, I’d say she just grew out of it, but I would love to know what happened to her!

    • Yes a series would be cool. Loren was amazing in her time! I agree I think she grew out of it ( but I also think she may have meet Voldemort) but it is sad that she never said anything.

  4. It always makes me so sad when this happens. Am I guilty of it? Yes. I started my blog when I was 9 and just disappeared off the face of the earth a year later. The good thing is, I didn’t have to face Voldemort. Now I’m back with more love for AG and better time management skills! I’m really grateful for all the awesome bloggers who still blog and I hope that more people start blogging in the future!

    • Yes, your blog has a happy ending but what about all the others? Just gone it really makes me so dang sad 😦 . Like when I re read these ag stories I think These dolls are probably sitting in a closet gathering dust.

  5. Hmm…a fascinating mystery! Yes, unfortunately, many AG bloggers completely vanish from the blogosphere. Some go completely to social media, others turn to YouTube, and some just stop entirely! I would personally love to have some sort of blogging promotion event, because blogging is truly such a great way to vent emotion and express yourself.
